Helichrysum
Helichrysum
Thousands of years before our time, the Greeks were decorating the statues of their gods with wreathes of a golden flower called Helichrysum. But this flower is more than pretty.
Its name comes from two Greek words: helios (sun), and kyros (gold). True to its name, Helichrysum flourishes in sunlight. Originating from France, Corsica, Italy, and Bosnia, it rules sandy, rocky areas.
Although it has many uses, Helichrysum’s greatest power lies in its ability to heal the skin. Today it’s used for many skin issues including dermatitis, eczema, inflammation, rosacea, psoriasis, and stretch marks.
It’s best diluted in a carrier oil and blended with other essential oils because of its strong aroma.
